The Committed Staff at Finger Lakes Radiation Oncology Center

The staff at FLROC has a low turnover. We have developed a spirit of teamwork and commitment that is unique. Any radiation oncology center in the country would be delighted to hire any of our staff, but they remain here, some for more than 15 years of service. Why is that? Each staff member has a different answer but the common theme is that the atmosphere at FLROC is one of camaraderie. Staff members want to come to work each day. We care for one another and this sense of well- being helps us give the best care to our patients. The intimate setting of our office makes it easy to work as a team and both staff members and patients feel like persons rather than numbers, as often happens in less personal facilities. Our patients often come back to say “hello” because we have gotten to know them, their families, their hobbies and even their pets. We know cancer can take over lives- we help people take their lives back.
